THNIC Teams Up with SET and ICANN to Host UA Day 2025: Promoting Thai Domains and Emails to Help Thai Businesses Go Global

The Thai Network Information Center (THNIC) Foundation joined hands with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and ICANN to host UA Day 2025 on March 26-27, 2025 at the SET building in Bangkok. The event drew more than 40 entrepreneurs from various industries, showing how ready Thai businesses are to move forward into the digital age.

UA Day 2025 is part of a global effort to promote Universal Acceptance (UA) — an important principle that helps make the internet work with domain names and emails in any language. This means businesses and organizations can reach their customers in their local languages without limits, opening up more opportunities to compete worldwide.

One of the key highlights was the hands-on workshop, “Simple Website Building for Entrepreneurs”, led by Palakorn Prasutsangchan, a website development expert. He shared easy-to-follow tips for building websites that support UA standards and explained how to make the most of .ไทย domain names and @อีเมล.ไทย email addresses to boost business potential in today’s digital world.

Participants also received exclusive benefits, including a free .co.th or .in.th domain name (one per participant) plus a .ไทย domain name, along with free website hosting for one year  and a THNIC Academy certificate— empowering businesses to confidently establish their online presence.

UA Day 2025 is another step forward for THNIC and SET to support Thailand’s digital economy by building a reliable and inclusive internet ecosystem that works for everyone.
