on September 30, 2025        by Administrator

The THNIC Academy successfully conducted the training course “Introduction to Programming”  for high school students on July 19–20 and July 26–28, 2025. This intermediate-level course is the second in a three-part programming development series, designed to strengthen students’ ability to solve moderately complex programming problems.

The course was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Akara Prayote from the Department of Computer and Information Science, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. The training began with a review of foundational concepts from the first course, followed by in-depth instruction in C++ programming through hands-on lab sessions. Students learned to write programs involving mathematical operations and conditional logic, building on the foundational knowledge gained in the first course.

A key highlight of the course was a special session featuring Professor Dr. Kanchana Kanchanasut, Vice Chairperson of the THNIC Foundation and Thailand’s internet pioneer. Professor Kanchana shared her educational journey, contributions to the development of the internet in Thailand, and her inspiration for founding the THNIC Academy in Tak province. The session sparked lively discussion, with students eager to learn about the early days of the internet and seek guidance for their academic futures.

In addition, Mr. Naphon Chayanonpakdee, Mayor of Tak City, visited and interacted with the students, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning and expressing his strong support for the THNIC academy’s activities.

A total of 34 students successfully completed the course and received certificates of achievement. THNIC Academy congratulates all participants and invites interested students to join upcoming courses in the future.
