THNIC Joins “.TH” Booth at Thailand E-Commerce Expo 2025 to Support Thai Entrepreneurs Entering the Online Market
On August 15–16, 2025, the Thai Network Information Center Foundation (THNIC) participated in the Thailand E-Commerce Expo 2025 at True Icon Hall, ICONSIAM. Organized by the Department of Business Development under the Ministry of Commerce, the event was officially opened with Dr. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, Executive Director of THNIC Foundation, in attendance, representing THNIC as a partner organization. THNIC’s participation featured the “.TH” booth, which aimed to encourage Thai entrepreneurs to join the ‘Thaionline.in.th Project’, an initiative designed to help local businesses enter the digital economy with greater confidence, stability, and sustainability.
The Thaionline.in.th Project is a collaborative effort between the Department of Business Development, THNIC Foundation, the Thai Webmaster Association, Thai E-Commerce Association, and Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA). Its purpose is to empower Thai entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs and online merchants, by providing access to digital tools, enabling them to establish their own business websites and enhance their credibility through the use of .TH domain names.
Entrepreneurs who participate in the project receive a wide range of benefits. These include a complimentary .co.th or .in.th domain name for one year, free service for creating an online website, specialized training in digital marketing, as well as further support and advantages from partner organizations. Through these opportunities, the program is set to elevate Thai businesses and guide them toward becoming more professional and competitive in the expanding e-commerce market.
