THNIC Academy Organizes “Network Training for Technicia” in Surin Province
THNIC Academy organized a training course titled “Network Training for Technicians” on September 13 – 14, 2025, in Surin Province. A total of 23 participants from both within and outside the province joined the program.
The training began with a welcome speech by Mr. Parkpoom Tripatana, Director of THNIC Academy, who introduced the THNIC Foundation’s history and mission, as well as the objectives of this training course. He emphasized the importance of building fundamental knowledge and understanding of Internet networking for technicians, teachers, and community members as well as he;ped to enable them to apply this knowledge in real-world practices.
The training sessions were delivered by experts from THNIC Foundation, Net2Home Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., and BKNIX Co., Ltd., covering both theoretical and hands-on sessions. Key topics included:
- Basic Internet services
- Fundamentals of community Internet networks
- Network device installation and configuration
- Signal testing and troubleshooting
- Wireless Mesh Network installation
- Cybersecurity
- Demonstration of Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) technology, developed by researchers at the Internet Education and Research Laboratory (intERLab), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)






















In addition, participants learned about the Net2Home Project operated by Net2Home Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. The project, first initiated in Tak Province, promotes the concept of “Community Networks”— providing affordable Internet access while enabling communities to manage their own networks.
This training not only delivered practical technical knowledge but also raised awareness of the role of Internet networks in community development while giving participants the opportunity to learn and exchange experiences directly with experts.
