THNIC Academy of the Thai Network Information Center Foundation (THNIC Foundation) successfully conducted this year’s “Introduction to Programming” course for high school students on July 25–26 and July 28–29, 2026, with training sessions held simultaneously in Tak and Surin provinces. This course is the intermediate level of THNIC Academy’s three-course programming curriculum. It is designed to strengthen students’ programming knowledge and practical coding skills to enable them to apply programming concepts to everyday tasks and solve moderate complex problems.

The training course in Tak province was held at THNIC Academy. The sessions were led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, together with a team of instructors.

Meanwhile, the training course in Surin Province took place at Surindra Rajabhat University and was conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Chuachan and his team from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology.

At both locations, participants reviewed key concepts from the previous course before advancing to hands-on programming with C++. Through a series of practical coding exercises, including mathematical computation and conditional programming, students strengthened their computational thinking, analytical reasoning, and programming proficiency. The course concluded with a problem-solving programming assessment, providing participants with an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the training.

The course received strong interest from high school students in both provinces. In Tak, 42 students enrolled in the course, with 32 students successfully meeting the assessment criteria and receiving certificates of completion. In Surin, 44 students enrolled, and 37 students successfully completed the program and earned certificates.

THNIC Academy congratulates all students who successfully completed the course and extends its sincere appreciation to the instructors, teaching assistants, host institutions, and all partners for their invaluable support in making the program a success. Students are encouraged to join THNIC Academy’s upcoming training programs and continue advancing their knowledge and skills in programming and digital technologies.
