THNIC Participates in WUNCA 44
During 5–7 February 2025, the THNIC Foundation participated in the 44th Workshop on UniNet Network and Computer Applications for Education (WUNCA 44) held at Chiang Mai University. THNIC set up an exhibition booth to promote “.th” and “.ไทย” domain names and showcased various projects and initiatives beneficial to the education and IT sectors.
Dr. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, THNIC Foundation executive director, gave a presentation at the CIO Forum, a gathering of senior IT executives from higher education institutions. Her session focused on the s.uni.net.th URL shortening service and the use of local language email addresses to enhance cybersecurity in the higher education sector.
At the THNIC booth, visitors received information about “.th” and “.ไทย” domain names, BKNIX and other noteworthy projects such as แบ่งปั๋น.ไทย, ชุมชน.ไทย. Attendees could also sign up for a Thai-language email address (@คน.ไทย) and enjoy fun activities with chances to win souvenirs.
