THNIC Academy Holds Introduction to Programming Training for High School Students

Week 1: July 6-7, 2024

THNIC Academy organized an Introduction to Programming course for high school students. This course is the second, or intermediate, level of the three-course programming development series. The content builds on the first course, focusing on enhancing programming skills to solve various problems. The training aims to strengthen programming fundamentals, enabling students to solve relatively simple problems before advancing to the next course, which deals with more complex problem-solving. The training began with a welcome speech by Parkpoom Tripatana, director of THNIC Academy, who provided an overview of the course.

Afterwards, Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote, the head of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, along with her team of instructors, led the training. They began with a review and foundation building in C++ programming. Throughout the two-day training, participants practiced their programming skills through various labs, including mathematical computation programming and condition analysis based on given problems.

Week 2: July 13-14, 2024

Participants learned to use various commands and functions for advanced programming to solve more complex problems through a variety of labs. This training further enhanced the participants’ programming skills, making them more proficient.

Week 3: July 20, 2024

Participants learned to create and use functions to further practice programming for solving various problems. This training course attracted many high school students from Tak province. The training concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony for the 25 participants who met the criteria along with an invitation to join future THNIC Academy activities.
