THNIC Academy Hosts Reunion 2025 to Strengthen Connections Among Alumni and Local Community
The Thai Network Information Center Foundation Learning Center (THNIC Academy) organized the THNIC Academy Reunion 2025 from 8–9 November 2025 at THNIC Academy in Tak province. The event aimed to strengthen relationships among students and alumni who previously participated in THNIC Academy’s training programs while also welcoming senior citizens and local educators from Tak to join the activities.
Saturday, 8 November 2025 – The first day of the reunion brought together 11 members of the Tak Senior Citizen Club along with 26 students, creating an enriching intergenerational learning environment.
One of the highlights was a traditional palm-leaf fan weaving workshop, taught and demonstrated by Ms. Thongkham Yomkoed, an artisan from the Ban Pakronghuaichee Community Learning Center in Ban Tak district. Participants learned the step-by-step process of weaving palm leaves and created their own beautifully crafted fans to take home as souvenirs

A special talk was given on “Local Food Culture of Tak Province” by Mr. Sirichai Thienthong from the Tak Senior Citizen Club. This was followed by a hands-on cooking workshop where students learned to prepare Kaeng Ma-Heh, a traditional bean-based local curry, and grilled Khao Kaep, a local crispy rice sheet often enjoyed during the Songkran Festival. These dishes, commonly made in Mae Sot, Ban Tak, and Sam Ngao districts, were served for lunch and prepared entirely by the students themselves.

In the afternoon, participants enjoyed a rare cultural performance of Khao Singing, presented by Ms. Boonchuay Promrong, a folk artist from Sam Ngao district, and Fai, a young cast member from the play “Banthuek Rak Koh Nang Jon”. Fai also performed the Khao songs featured in the play, which she learned directly from Ms. Boonchuay. A group of actors from the play also performed “Phra Chao Tak Fark Mae Nam Ping”—a theme song from the play, and a recorded video of the play was screened for those who had not yet experienced this creative local production.

The first day wrapped up with a warm and lively networking session between alumni and students, where participants shared their experiences and exchanged valuable insights. The evening closed with a friendly social gathering that helped strengthen the bonds within the THNIC Academy community.

Sunday, 9 November 2025 – The second day featured a special lecture and workshop on Introduction to Blockchain Technology, led by experts in the digital fields:
- Unnawut Leepaisalsuwanna – Ethereum Foundation Grantee, specializing in Ethereum research and development
- Phatrasek Jirabovonvisut – Founder of Tetration Lab, a research company focused on privacy technology and on-chain games
- Teeramet Kunpittaya – Ethereum Foundation Grantee, specializing in privacy technology

The session provided a foundational understanding of how blockchain works beyond its association with investment. Participants also engaged in a practical activity in which they created their own simulated tokens, helping them gain hands-on experience with blockchain mechanisms.
In addition to the 26 participating students, the workshop also attracted 11 IT teachers from local educational institutions, including Phadungpanya School, Ban Tak “Pracha Wittayakarn” School, and Tak Technical College.
The two-day reunion was filled with warmth, creativity, cultural learning, and technological exploration. It reflected THNIC Academy’s ongoing commitment to fostering a dynamic learning space that connects younger generations with local wisdom while expanding their knowledge of modern technologies.
THNIC Academy extends its heartfelt appreciation to all speakers, participants, and partners who contributed to the success of this memorable and inspiring event.
