Presenting “Following the Rim Ping’s footsteps” @Rahaengnews-tamroirimping
On Monday, November 27, 2023, the Thai Network Information Center Foundation held the event, “Following the Rim Ping’s footsteps” @Rahaeng at the THNIC Academy to present the results of its October 15, 2023, activity, “Connecting Generations with IT”.
During the event, the website “ตามรอยริมปิง.ไทย” was introduced. It is the result of a discussion and information exchange between two groups—elderly citizens and young students—and it is based on historical information about the Ping River’s banks presented digitally. Lt. Dr. Jesada Siwarak, director and secretary of the foundation gave a welcome speech after which he was honored by Prof. Dr. Kanchana Kanchanasut, Khun Atsadaphan Buaban, and Khun Sirirat Onnoom who together pressed a button to signify the activation of the website. Subsequently, Ms. Nisarat Tansakul and her team gave the attendees an introduction on how to use the website.
Additionally, there was an exhibition of historical photos of Rahaeng as well as a performance by the theater group, Rong Sanggasee, of “Memoir of a Love Story on Nang Chorn Island”. The program featured performances by eight Tak high school students and scenes crafted from vintage photos showcasing the magnificence of the Ping River in the Rahaeng region.
More than fifty individuals from Tak and Bangkok attended the event.
