THNIC Partners with OSMEP to Empower Thai SMEs with Digital Tools through SME Privilege Program
The Thai Network Information Center (THNIC) Foundation and T.H.NIC Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) under the SME Privilege Program. This collaboration aims to strengthen Thai SMEs and enhance their capabilities to compete in the digital economy.
Dr. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, executive director of THNIC Foundation, emphasized the Foundation’s mission to help Thai entrepreneurs step confidently into the digital world. Through the promotion of personalized websites and professional email addresses using .co.th and .in.th domain names, THNIC supports businesses in building a trustworthy and credible online presence. Dr. Pensri also noted that THNIC continues to collaborate with partners across all sectors to drive Thailand toward a stable and sustainable digital future.
Mr. Thaniya Wongsuanoom, general manager of T.H.NIC Co., Ltd., explained that the company operates under the supervision of the THNIC Foundation and is committed to managing Thailand’s national domain names (.th and .ไทย) with the highest levels of stability and security. The company actively supports Thai entrepreneurs by providing reliable tools to launch and grow their online businesses. Through this partnership with OSMEP, Thai SMEs will gain access not only to domain names that reflect their brand identity but also to services such as secure short links and globally compatible Thai-language email addresses—key elements in advancing Thailand’s digital economy.
Ms. Panita Shinawatra, acting director of OSMEP, shared that the SME Privilege Program continues to attract strong interest from business owners. To date, 22 organizations have partnered with the program, with more expected to join soon. The program offers benefits across three main areas: product and service discounts, market expansion opportunities, and access to funding sources. In addition, OSMEP has launched the “SME Connext” mobile application to make it easier for SMEs to access these benefits and receive real-time support from OSMEP officers.
The collaboration between the THNIC Foundation, T.H.NIC Co., Ltd., and OSMEP marks a significant step in helping Thai SMEs thrive in the digital age. While THNIC provides essential tools such as business websites, organizational email, and domain services under .co.th and .in.th, OSMEP complements this effort by offering comprehensive support to strengthen SMEs, enabling them to compete effectively in the digital economy.
