THNIC Academy Organizes “Network Training for Technicians” Workshop
THNIC Academy held a ‘Network Training for Technicians’ workshop from October 26-27, 2024. The training was attended by 12 participants from various local communities, including Wang Chao, Mae Sot, Phop Phra, Ban Tak, and Mueang Tak districts.
The workshop featured BKNIX Co., Ltd. instructors and Net2Home (Social Enterprise) Co., Ltd. They provided knowledge on data communication, computer networking, network technologies and signal transmission. Participants also received hands-on training in device connectivity, network installation, signal testing, troubleshooting signal loss and setting up wireless mesh networks.
In addition, participants learned from real-world experiences shared by the Net2Home technical team in Mae Kasa Subdistrict, Mae Sot, Tak Province. The team discussed how they started and developed community-based internet installations, following the “Community Network” model. This approach helps ensure fair and affordable internet access for community members, making the internet practical and beneficial for everyday use.
