THNIC Receives Most Contribution Award 2026, Reinforcing Its Role in Supporting Thailand’s Cybersecurity

The Thai Network Information Center Foundation (THNIC Foundation) received the ‘Most Contribution Award” at the Prime Minister Awards 2026: Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2026, organized by Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA). The award recognizes organizations that have made significant contributions to supporting and strengthening the country’s cybersecurity ecosystem. Dr. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, Executive Director of THNIC Foundation, accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation on September 25, 2026, at Rama Gardens Hotel Bangkok.

The Prime Minister Awards 2026 aims to recognize organizations with outstanding achievements in cybersecurity while promoting the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices. The initiative seeks to build on organizational successes and strengthen collective capabilities to address emerging cyber threats, particularly risks associated with AI and quantum computing, through collaboration among the public, private, and education sectors.

The award ceremony was presided over by Dr. Ratchada Thanadirek, Vice Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, and attended by executives, cybersecurity experts, and representatives from government agencies, private-sector organizations, and educational institutions.

The ‘Most Contribution Award’ recognizes organizations and networks that have played a significant role in supporting and contributing to Thailand’s cybersecurity ecosystem. In 2026, a total of 16 organizations received awards in this category, with THNIC Foundation among those recognized for their contributions.

Receiving this award marks another proud milestone for THNIC Foundation and reflects its continued role in supporting the security and resilience of Thailand’s Internet infrastructure. The Foundation remains committed to strengthening the security of the Domain Name System (DNS) and promoting the deployment of Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC), while continuing to share knowledge and foster collaboration with relevant organizations.

Through these efforts, THNIC Foundation aims to contribute to the development of a more secure, reliable, and resilient Internet infrastructure for Thailand, capable of adapting to evolving technologies and emerging cybersecurity threats.
