DotTH Joins Safer Internet Day Thailand 2025 to Promote Safer Internet
“DotTH” participated as a partner in Safer Internet Day Thailand 2025 (SIDTH 2025) under the theme “Together for a Safer Internet”. The event was organized by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Internet Foundation for Sustainable Development of Thailand, UNICEF Thailand, and Chulalongkorn University.
At the event, Dr. Pensri Arunwatanamongkol, THNIC Foundation executive director and representative of DotTH, served as a speaker in Session 4: Law and Policy Reform to Prevent and Battle Cyber Crime. She presented approaches to enhancing online safety through the use of .ไทย domain names and Thai-language email addresses that help reduce confusion caused by English spelling and lower the risk of fraud.
Dr. Pensri also highlighted the use of trustworthy link-shortening tools provided by ‘dg.th’, which improve the efficiency of online information sharing while minimizing risks from malicious links. These tools verify the identity of link creators, check the security of destination links and preview the destination website before users visit. She further recommended including verified links alongside QR codes so users can confirm they are directed to the correct websites.
Safer Internet Day Thailand 2025 took place on 10-11 February 2025 at Chulalongkorn University. Experts from various sectors gathered to share perspectives and best practices aimed at creating a safer and more sustainable digital society.
